PTA - the Friends of Churchill Academy
The PTA embraces all staff, parents and members of the Churchill community. A programme of fund-raising activities is organised each year comprising a Christmas Fair, quizzes and other activities. Recently the PTA has bought sports and other extra-curricular equipment, equipment for the Library Reading Room, rewards for students, books and a package of products to support Personal, Social and Health Education for use throughout the School.

Dates for the Diary
- Christmas Craft Fair: please note there will be no Craft Fair this year but we hope to hold one next year.
Churchill’s PTA, the "Friends of Churchill Academy," is an active group who arrange events and have some fun along the way. You can join this group and bring your skills (and sense of humour) along to the meetings or to events. (We don’t have many meetings – honest!). We are always pleased to welcome new blood.
The Friends of Churchill Academy also invite parents to make regular contributions to the ‘PTA Fund’ through Parent Pay. The Fund helps to provide equipment, furniture, books and prizes for the Academy which benefit every child.
If all families gave just £10 a year, the Friends could help the Academy by about £10,000 annually. This would enable lots of ‘extras’ for your son or daughter; this money does not go to the Academy but to the Fund which is managed, in confidence, by parents.
Please give to the Fund but also look out for other ways that you can help by “doing” as well as giving. Churchill is a great school – Outstanding – but it really needs you to add those extras.
