PTA - the Friends of Churchill Academy
Christmas Craft Fair
Saturday, 25th November 2017, 11am - 3pm
We would really appreciate your help to make this year’s Craft Fair a success! It’s the Friends of Churchill Academy/PTA's main fundraiser of the year. You can:
- Bake a cake/s for us to sell (to be delivered to school on Friday 24th November). These will be judged and prizes awarded.
- Donate a raffle prize.
- Give up some time to assist in setting up/clearing up (Friday 24th November from 3pm and on the day, start or finish).
- Come along on the day for a couple of hours to assist with the running of the Fair (from 8.30am).
If you are able to assist - in any way - please contact James Davis or PTA@churchill-academy.org. Alternatively, please come along on the day – lots of Christmas gifts and goodies, Farmers’ Market, children’s entertainment and lots more!
Why not get into the festive spirit and help raise funds for the Academy.
The PTA embraces all staff, parents and members of the Churchill community. A programme of fund-raising activities is organised each year comprising a Christmas Fair, quizzes and other activities. Recently the PTA has bought sports and other extra-curricular equipment, equipment for the LRC Reading Room, rewards for students, books and a package of products to support Personal, Social and Health Education for use throughout the School.
Please take a look at the letter at the bottom of the page giving further information.

Dates for the Diary

Churchill’s PTA, the "Friends of Churchill Academy," is an active group who arrange events and have some fun along the way. You can join this group and bring your skills (and sense of humour) along to the meetings or to events. (We don’t have many meetings – honest!). We are always pleased to welcome new blood.
The Friends of Churchill Academy also invite parents to make regular contributions to the ‘PTA Fund’ through Parent Pay. The Fund helps to provide equipment, furniture, books and prizes for the Academy which benefit every child.
If all families gave just £10 a year, the Friends could help the Academy by about £10,000 annually. This would enable lots of ‘extras’ for your son or daughter; this money does not go to the Academy but to the Fund which is managed, in confidence, by parents.
Please give to the Fund but also look out for other ways that you can help by “doing” as well as giving. Churchill is a great school – Outstanding – but it really needs you to add those extras.
