Careers in the Curriculum

Careers learning is embedded throughout our curriculum. It appears explicitly in particular subjects’ content delivery, the tutor and the PSHE programme from Years 7 to 13.  Careers learning is made explicit through the use of the Careers logo, wherever possible, to raise the profile of the relevance of particular elements of course content in the learning experience.  Employability and wider skills are developed through many aspects of the taught and wider curriculum such as student leadership, rewards and sanctions, being involved with teams and rising to challenges.  Subject areas make specific and explicit links to careers through identified parts of their curriculum pathway.  Here are some examples of careers learning in our curriculum:
