Academy EU Referendum - the results!

Over the past few weeks students at Churchill Academy have been listening carefully to the arguments for and against Britain's continued membership of the European Union. Dr Brodie has overseen the campaigns which have been brilliantly run by students Sami Faheem, Alex Webber, Tom Dalton and George Rabin. The debate has been civilised, thoughtful and conducted very professionally, and the students have set a really good example!

This week, following assemblies, posters, flyers and campaigning, all students at the Academy have had the opportunity to cast their votes. Students voted overwhelmingly in favour of Britain remaining a member of the European Union, with 67.8% of votes cast favouring this position.  

Thanks to all involved for shining a light on the issues behind this momentous political decision so skilfully.
