Big Bang Science Success

Six of our Year 9 students - Sam Oxley, George Rabin, Ed Thurlow, Poppy Murphy, Victoria Pellant and Emma Griffiths - took part in "The Big Bang South West Competition" on Wednesday.  They have been working on their extended science investigations over the last six weeks at lunchtimes and after school.  They were competing against schools from all over the South West and had to present their science investigations to the judges and other competitors.  George Rabin and Ed Thurlow not only managed to qualify for the National Finals in March next year but were also awarded the prize for "Best Science Communicators" out of all the competitors present.

Well done to all concerned and thanks to Mr Ramshaw for overseeing this project.
