DofE Silver Expedition

Silver Duke of Edinburgh teams experienced a wide spectrum of weather on Dartmoor over three days of expedition.  Lashing rain for the entire middle day was a classic for the beautiful national park, but this turned into blazing sunshine for the third and final day which allowed us dry everything out - students included!  100% success and a very pleased assessor.  I am proud to say this is typical for our teams at Churchill who soldiered on throughout, displaying admirable support for each other and upbeat grit despite being both soaked to the bone and then baked.  Well done participants and thanks to the staff who volunteered to supervise: Mr Madelaine, Miss Piper, Mr Spencer, Miss Bayford & Mr Evans.
