Festival of School and College Arts
Churchill Academy & Sixth Form has added its contributions to schools and colleges up and down the country in today's online Festival of School and College Arts.
The Festival, a collaboration with nine education organisation, aims to provide a badly needed antidote to the misery and disruption caused by the Covid pandemic over the past year and showcase learning and creativity. It is designed to celebrate the vital role of the arts in our schools and colleges, and the fantastic work done by children and young people.
The Arts play a central role at our Academy, so we have shared examples of our students' work throughout the day using the #EduArtsFest hashtag.
Headteacher Chris Hildrew said: "Our students never cease to amaze me with their talent, innovation and skill in music, dance, drama, art, textiles, photography, creative writing and beyond. Now, more than ever, they need the creative outlet that the arts provide. We are delighted to celebrate the creative energy that buzzes through our Academy in today’s Festival of School and College Arts.”
