Guide Dog Visit

We were delighted to welcome alumnus Emily Hurst back to the Academy this week, accompanied by two special guests - Bailey and Dexter. 
Emily and her family have been Puppy Raisers and volunteers for Guide Dogs for many years, and she's hoping to encourage more young people to take up fundraising for this vital charity.

The Academy has sponsored two puppies in the past - Somer and Churchill, who are well into their training now. This was as a result of the fantastic fundraising that Emily supported while at Churchill. 

The top two students from each house with the most positive rewards in Year 7 were invited along to meet the puppies, and hear from Emily and the work that she does. 

Fundraising and volunteering are two ways students can look to support Guide Dogs. Further information can be found on their website.
