House Poetry Competition
Just before Christmas the English Department held a House Poetry competitions on the themes of 'Light' and 'Should I stay or should I go?' The response from students was overwhelming and narrowing down the winners and highly commended list was a challenging task for Mr Grimmett and myself. This week I have had great pleasure in visiting assemblies to award certificates to around 20 students.
The winning entries were:
- 'A World without Light' by India Knight (Windsor)
- 'One less Light' by Sofia Passmore (Tudor)
- 'First Light' by Imogen Beaumont (Hanover)
- 'Christmas Lights' by Laila Dimmock (Stuart)
Read the winning poems here. Well done to all who entered!
