Junior Young Musician of the Year 2018

Churchill's annual Junior Young Musician of the Year competition took place on Tuesday 19th October. Nineteen musicians from Years 7 and 8 took part, including singers, drummers, and performances on cello, French Horn, violin, piano and guitar. Joint third place was awarded to Emily Green (8HDC) and Ailis Phillips (8WKH). Brownen Deane (8SCPS) came second with a self-composed piano and vocal performance, whilst Kimi Powell (7TJMW) was crowned the winner after a stunning drum solo. Both Bronwen and Kimi will now perform at Weston Playhouse during our Christmas Concerts on 21st and 22nd November.
