Obstacle Course for WaterAid
Over one hundred Year 7 and 8 students took part in the Academy's first WaterAid Obstacle Course on beautifully sunny Wednesday this week. They tackled a range of obstacles, ranging from box climbs to cargo nets and balance beams, all the while carrying a container of water each. The event was used to raise awareness and funds for WaterAid, the Academy's designated charity for this year. The fastest team of the day included Brett Kelly, Oliver Walton, Josh Mees and Izaac Webber in an impressive 7 minutes and 43 seconds. The team who retained the most water was Lily Reeves, Molly Axtell, Rosanna Knowles and Poppy Hill, who managed to hold onto a whopping 1,690 ml around the course. A big thank you to all of the Sixth Formers and staff who helped out in what was a great afternoon.
