Olympian alumna visit

We were proud to welcome Ruby Harrold back to the Academy today. Ruby returned home after her first year at Louisiana State University, competing on the college gymnastics circuit and helping LSU Tigers to finish runners-up in the 2017 national championships. All this, of course, after representing Team GB in Rio at the 2016 Olympics and finishing 5th in the team gymnastics event. 

It was great to catch up with Ruby and hear all about her experiences. She took some time to meet her old teachers, and to offer words of wisdom to Maddy Sherwood-Dawson (7TCB) who is preparing for her first major National Championships in gymnastics herself. Headteacher Mr Hildrew presented Ruby with her very own Tudor House colours (including pin badge and socks!). We will continue to follow her career with great pride.
