Reading Reward at Mendip Pursuits

As a reward for their reading efforts this year, 30 students from Years 7 and 8 won the prize of a day at Mendip Pursuits. They had excelled in their Accelerated Reader challenges, with many of them reading 300 or 400% above their reading target. It was a beautiful sunny day, and students indulged their inner Robin Hood with an Archery hour, with the added bonus of marker pen war paint to get them in the mood. This was followed up by a climbing wall experience for the second half, where students encouraged each other to go one step higher than before.

A great time was had by all; thank you to Mr Grimmett and Ms Birkett, and Miss Lowrie for organising the event.
