Self-Declaration deadline approaches for Pupil Premium

PUPIL PREMIUM FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ADOPTED

Please read carefully. This notice will be dealt with in STRICTEST CONFIDENCE.

Pupil Premium funding is available to students who are adopted from local authority care in England or Wales.  If your child has left local authority care on a special guardianship order or child arrangements order (previously known as a residence order) they may also be eligible for funding.

The funding is to support students in their emotional, social and educational development by providing specific support to raise their attainment and address their wider needs.

In order to secure this money for the Academy, parents need to self-declare by emailing Leasa Knapp Pupil Premium Administrator by Monday 2nd October.  Evidence of legal adoption eg. court papers will be required.

SERVICE PUPIL PREMIUM

Service Pupil Premium (SPP) is extra funding available to schools in England, which educate the children of regular armed forces personnel.  The SPP is paid directly to the school and is used to benefit the child’s education.

The Academy will only be able to claim the SPP if the parents of those eligible children declare their child’s service status to us.  If you or your partner are currently serving in the armed forces, have left the armed forces, or if your child is in receipt of a child pension from the Ministry of Defence and is in years  7- 11  please let us know so that we can claim this extra funding to benefit your child.

Please email Leasa Knapp Pupil Premium Administrator by Monday 2nd October.
