Year 10 North Somerset Rugby Tournament -

Another great turn out for the year 10 rugby team this week playing in the year 10 North Somerset Rugby tournament at Weston RFC. All teams entered played in a round robin format, 15 minute games. A great team performance from all, winning all but one game meant that three teams finished on the same points at the end of the competition. A tense finish, Super 8 finalists Clevedon School needed to score 4 tries in their final game to take the top spot. Close games once again, credit to the winners and well done to Harry S, Jay E & David C players of the tournament.

RFU Referee course held at Churchill Academy -

This week, a small number of students across year 11 and the sixth form had been invited onto a Rugby Refereeing Course held at Churchill Academy. Chris Hurd (RFU Community Rugby Coach for the South West) delivered the short course which allows the students to referee contact rugby up to year 8. As part of their development, these students will assist with the Year 8 Rugby Tournament and House Match competitions over the coming weeks. Well done to all involved.
