Strictly Dance Fever 2019
A packed audience was entertained by a stunning evening of dance at this year's Strictly Dance Fever! This annual event sees students devise, choreograph, produce and perform their own pieces in three categories: duos, solos, and groups. The standard was exceptional this year, with student ranging from Year 7 to Year 11 competing. The judges - Mrs Lippe, Mrs Rees and Mr Buckley - were full of praise for the performers, with several pieces being awarded perfect scores of 30 out of 30!
Whilst the judges deliberated, the audience was treated to a spectacular performance by the Year 9 BTEC Dance group to a medley of songs from Aladdin. After careful consideration, the prize for best performer was awarded to Erin Clark (8SEDB) for her moving solo. The overall prize went to Amy Bunce (10HNAB) and Saffron Buckler (10WHOJ), who performed an original, intense piece to Billie Eilish's Bad Guy. Judges praised the make-up, costume design, and the unexpected and unique choreography.
Many congratulations to all the performers on such a wonderful evening of dance.
