Students work with Bristol Airport to deliver imaginative lighting projects
Year 13 Design students have presented their final coursework to Bristol Airport. As part of the A Level coursework for Product Design students have to work to a full client brief, ensuring their designs meet the specifications set out to them. We approached Bristol Airport this year as we were keen to work with a close client with strong ties to engineering. The Design students were asked to create desk lights for display at the Academy and for use at the airport. The students have benefited from having interaction with a real client at all stages of the project, with client feedback shaping the final products presented.
Thanks to Richard Withey, Engineering Manager, at Bristol Airport for his help and support of our students.
