Year 10 Somerset Cup Football

The Year 10 Team start 2018 maintaining their 100% away win with a 4-1 victory over Haygrove.  In difficult conditions more suited for ducks, they tried to continuously play football and created many chances in the first half taking 22 minutes to hit the back of the net - Max Thorne from 24 yards.  Churchill eventually won the game with ease with goals from D Morris & two from B Merrifield.  Well done to all team members and to Jo Poole on his debut game between the posts.  Quarter Finals next....

Bath Uni Trip

On Tuesday all the A Levels students travelled to Bath Uni (Sports Science University of the Year 2018) to take part in advanced fitness testing Including VO2 max gas analysis treadmill test and the wingate bike challenge.  A very inspiring visit for all.  It was great to catch up with ex-Churchill students Jens Hullah and Renz Vallejera GB Judo who delivered a excellent presentation and athlete Q & A.  Good luck to Jens and Renz - ones to keep an eye out for in 2018 and the future!
