Team PE updates
U15 Girls Rugby
The U15 Girls Rugby Team took part in the South West Tournament this week and fought bravely and with great success to come third overall out of ten teams and narrowly missing out on progressing to the next stage. It was fantastic to see so many girls engaging in rugby and Team PE are so proud of the team and how well they played! Keep it up ladies!
U14 Football - Somerset Cup Semi Final: Churchill 3 - Beechin Cliff 7
At 3-4 Churchill got back in the game with a great fight back against a strong team from Bath. But at 5-3 the game was over, how a game can change in 30 seconds but it did on that day. This team will go on and get better and better. A great bunch of lads and a fabulous team spirit. James Dean a game changer at half time. Dan Morris, Ollie Wynn never stopped running. Final next year?
Team Year 9: Bailey Williams, Bertie Merrifield, Aidon Hind, Jackson Harper, Henry Smith, Ben Wheeler, Harlow Searle, Max Thorne, Toby Lawrence, Sam SMith, James Dean, Dan Morris, Dylan Yandell, Ollie Wynn, Joe Probert, Jake Maine, Ben West
U16 Football - Somerset Cup Semi Final: v Norton Hill 1-1 at full time; lost 6-5 on penalties
For the second year running the current Year 11 Team lost in the Semi Final of the Somerset Cup. On the day Churchill were the better team but sadly did not make it through to the final. A great team performance with decisions not going their way at times, but they never gave up. A magical moment from Archie Anderson kept the game alive but the woodwork kept Churchill out of the Cup.
Team Year 11: Cam Harding, Lewis Hawkins, Luke Collier, Will Perry, Macca Abram, Will Dawes, Matt Frost, Jay Murray, Josef Catania, Ciaran Murphy, Euan Kindred, Ben Hughes,Archie Anderson, Dan Bugg
