The Mini Music Maestro Competition

The Mini Music Maestro Competition took place on Wednesday evening in the school hall. A wealth of talent from our youngest performers (Year 7 & 8) was on display with some impressive woodwind performances by Alex Wahab, Chloe Phipps, Sarah Browne and Harry Taylor.

Year 7 students, Ceri Evans, Grace Clements, Lily Murphy, William Bradshaw and Madalyn Sherwood-Dawson performed a diverse range of music skilfully.

The judging was very difficult with such talent on display – however after long consideration, joint 3^rd place was awarded to Abigail Mills (oboe) and Molly Axtell (voice); 2^nd place to Max Hutchinson (trombone), and first prize was awarded to Miya Mendl who performed the intermezzo from Hary Janos by Kodaly with real spirit! 

Performances from the winners can be seen at our Christmas Concert on 23rd and 24th November. Tickets are available from The Playhouse.
