Tutor Group Fundraising
Wet Sponges!
Tudor tutor group TPOC held a fun event to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West. A number of specially chosen teachers were placed in medieval style stocks and students paid 20 pence per sponge to throw big wet car sponges at their faces. There were quite a few direct hits, but even the sponges that missed caused the teachers to get wet!
Thanks very much to Mr Tinker, Mr Ramshaw, Mr Cooknell and Mr Hildrew for being such good sports and helping to raise £43.20 for a very worthy cause. That’s 216 sponges thrown!
Cake Sales
Tutor groups HJMA and HRL raised £75 for Cancer Research UK by holding a cake sale on Thursday lunchtime. Many thanks to those who bought, baked and helped sell the delicious wares on offer.
Thank you to all those that supported the cake sale in support of fibromyalgia research which raised £104 and was organised by Ceri Evans (SEMD) and Amy Evans (SCS). Well done and thank you to: Sarah Browne, Lauren Griffiths, Chloe Hayzen, Emeline De Caters, Bori Gunyrits, Amelie Kelly, Megan Buncher, Myiah Barker, Charlotte Nottage, Darcey Powell and Melisa Kati for helping out
