Work Experience 2018

This week Year 10 have ventured out into the world of work.  From what I’ve been fortunate enough to see this week, they’ve certainly been making the most of it!  I’ve been delighted to hear what the employers have said about the students and the impression they have made.  I’ve been just as pleased to hear our students talk enthusiastically about their placement, it’s value in helping them gain invaluable experience and to think more about their future.  The placements have been broad and varied including flying schools, zoos and vets, engineering, marketing and advertising, media, garages, farms, the navy, schools, universities, conservation, architecture, retail and much, much more.

A huge well done to our ‘work ready’ Year 10s for organising their placements and making the most of their week.  Thanks to any parents or friends of Churchill who have helped with placements this week, and to families for contributing to the Health and Safety costs. Thanks too to Miss Clements for coordinating everything. We are always willing to hear feedback on events like these, please email any comments to Miss Clements (zoc@churchill-academy.org).
