Year 12 Scientists visit Bristol University
On Tuesday, 17th January, the Year 12 Applied General Science group ventured to Bristol University. They were met by enthusiastic research scientists who led us down through the Life Sciences building to their new Electron Microscope. The students were treated to a session exploring the different microscopes used in research looking at samples ranging from live meal worms to gold covered, fossilised feathers. They were even able to operate the £500,000 machine (to an extent!).
