Year 13 Law Students Visit Bristol Crown Court

On Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, our eager Year 13 A-Level Law students had the unique opportunity to visit the esteemed Bristol Crown Court.

The trip was more than just a field visit for them; it was an inspiring experience. They had the privilege of interacting with a seasoned Circuit Judge who shared invaluable insights into the life and challenges of a legal professional. This encounter allowed them to ponder the reality of pursuing a legal career, making it more tangible and less abstract.

The students also had a hands-on experience of the courtroom. They were able to stand in different zones of the courtroom, imagining the varying perspectives of a jury member or a witness under oath. This interactive experience gave them a taste of what it feels like to be a participant in legal proceedings.

In addition, the students had the chance to witness live court proceedings. They observed the process of sentencing and listened to witnesses providing evidence. This real-world exposure to the legal system provided an exciting and educational experience that will leave a lasting memory for all.
