Home to school transport

Transport to and from the Academy is run by North Somerset Council's Home to School Transport team for those students living within the Academy's first geographical area. For those outside this area, there are public transport buses and coaches run by private companies (see below). Please direct all queries regarding transport to the relevant company as the Academy does not operate the bus services to and from school.

After you have applied:

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an outcome of entitlement within 20 working days.  All transport allocations will then be reviewed between June and August.  If your application has been received within the published deadlines, you will be contacted before the start of term (by 19 August).  You will be given details of your route, your operator and pick-up/drop off points.

For those applying between academic years, applications can take up to 20 working days to process.

Returning passengers:

The School Transport team will verify your statutory entitlement during the summer holidays.  You will be contacted before the start of term with the specifics of your route.

If you are not eligible:

If you are not eligible for home to school transport, other support may be available.  You can apply for concessionary transport through the 'vacant seat payment scheme'.  You can apply using the same form you would use to apply for home to school transport.

If a pass has been lost, a replacement pass can be requested to schooltransport@n-somerset.gov.uk

Please note:

Students who travel by coach must stay on the school site until their coach leaves.  If students miss a coach they must report to the main school reception or the member of staff on duty at the coach loop.
