Madagascar Expedition Begins!

After months of preparation and anticipation, our students and trip leaders have officially set off on their three-week adventure in Madagascar to engage in vital conservation and ecology work. 

Following a long journey, the team arrived safely in Antananarivo and spent their first night in a hotel, enjoying a well-earned dinner and some much-needed rest before continuing on to Ambondromamy. 

A few staff members from our Academy and another visiting school took a short walk near the hotel to explore the local area. Mrs. Wilson described the experience as humbling, sharing how warmly they were greeted with “bonjour” by everyone they passed, even the youngest children.

Although they only ventured a short distance, it provided a powerful and meaningful first glimpse into life in Madagascar.
