Year 10 Students Explore Continental Tarts

This week, our talented Year 10 students have been busy in the kitchen, showcasing their culinary skills by creating a range of beautiful continental tarts.

As part of their food technology lessons, the students have been learning how to make traditional egg custard tarts from scratch, carefully balancing flavours and perfecting their pastry techniques. Alongside this, they have been experimenting with tuiles — delicate, crisp wafers that add both texture and visual flair to their desserts.

It’s been fantastic to see their creativity and confidence grow as they explore new recipes and develop their practical skills.

Well done to all our budding chefs for producing such impressive and delicious-looking tarts this week!
