Academy Sports Rundown: 6th November 2026

The girls took centre stage this week with our Netball and Hockey teams competing. Check out how they got on below:

KS3 Netball Face Priory School

Our KS3 Netball teams had a fantastic afternoon against Priory this week. Our Year 7 team was up first, it was a close first half however Priory got the win in the end with a final score of 2-5.

Up next was our Year 8 team, who demonstrated their new skills against a tough opposition team. The final score ended in Priory’s favour at 3-6.

Last but certainly not least was our Year 9 team, who absolutely SMASHED their opponents with their strongest game of the season to date. A celebration was truly in order as the game finished with a final score of 15-0 to Churchill. Amazing!

Players of the match for each team were:

Year 7 - Holly

Year 8 - Esmee

Year 9 - Jess

Well done to all of our Netball players!

KS4 Hockey’s Victorious Afternoon

Our KS4 Hockey team faced Priory school this week, it was incredible to see their skills progression and teamwork.  Churchill scored 7 goals throughout the game, bringing the final score to an amazing 7-0 to Churchill. Wow!

Our goal scorers were Emily, Katie, Isis, Maddy & Katie, with Isis being awarded Player of the Match.  Well done!
