Admissions to the Academy

If you are thinking about joining Churchill Academy & Sixth Form, welcome!

Below is all the information you need to apply to join Churchill. Please note, there is a high demand for places at Churchill Academy & Sixth Form and if you are applying in-year, you many need to join our waiting list. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list please complete the in-year admissions form found below or apply through North Somerset School Admissions.

In-Year Admissions 2024-25

Churchill Academy - LSP - Admission Arrangements 2024-2025

In-year applicants (Years 7-11) wishing to start at the Academy. Please apply using either our Online Application Form or via our paper Admissions Form, downloadable here.

Admissions 2025-26: Including Primary Transfer for Sept 2025

Churchill Academy - LSP - Admission Arrangements 2025-2026

Primary Transfer to Secondary: Applications to join Year 7 in September 2025 should be made to your home local authority by 31st October 2024. For late applications after this date, please contact your home local authority.

Our open evening for entry into Year 7 in September 2025 will be held on Wednesday 25th September 2024 from 5pm. Please see our Open Evening Page for more information.

The local authority (North Somerset) Appeals timetable will be published here upon receipt and before 28th February 2025.

In Year Applications (for Years 8-11) will open on 01 June 2025 for September 2025 admission.

Admission Applications

Thursday 12th September 2024: North Somerset's Online Portal Opens

Thursday 31st October 2024, 11.59pm: Deadline for Primary to Secondary Transfer parents application. Apply via the student's home local authority. Note: if the child is deferred or accelerated entry they must apply via a paper form. If deferred entry they should have contacted the Academy directly prior.

Monday 3rd March 2025: National Offer Day

Monday 17th March 2025: Deadline for responding to offers

Tuesday 15th April 2025: North Somerset Council appeal deadline

Tuesday 22nd April 2025: Deadline for Registration Forms to be completed.

April and May 2025: Churchill Academy visits all prospective students in their current school

Sunday 1st June 2025: In-year Transfers Open for 2025/26 academic year.

Future Churchill Students

Tuesday 24 June 2025: Induction Day at Churchill Academy

Wednesday 25 June 2025: Drama Day at Churchill Academy

Wednesday 25 June 2025: New Parents Evening (normally 6.30pm)
