Admissions to the Academy
If you are thinking about joining Churchill Academy & Sixth Form, welcome!
Below is all the information you need to apply to join Churchill. Please note, there is a high demand for places at Churchill Academy & Sixth Form and if you are applying in-year, you may need to join our waiting list. If you would like to be placed on our waiting list, please complete the in-year admissions form found below or apply through North Somerset School Admissions.

Admissions 2026-27: Including Primary Transfer for Sept 2027
Churchill Academy - LSP - Admission Arrangements 2025-2026
Primary Transfer to Secondary: Applications to join Year 7 in September 2027 should have been made to your home local authority by 31st October 2026. For late applications after this date, please contact your home local authority.
The Academy does not accept applications for Year 7 until after 1st September 2027. All applications received prior to this date will be rejected.

In-year applications (for Years 8-11) are now open.
In-year applicants (for Years 8-11) who wish to start at the Academy in September. Please apply using either our Online Application Form or via our paper Admissions Form. You can also apply via the North Somerset Council website.
Year 7 applicants can still apply via their home local authority until 1st September 2027.

Our open evening for entry into Year 7 in September 2027 will be held on Wednesday 30th September 2026 from 5pm. Please see our Open Evening Page for more information from previous years.

Admission Applications
By 12th September 2026: North Somerset's Online Portal Opens
31st October 2026, 11.59pm: Deadline for Primary to Secondary Transfer parents application. Apply via the student's home local authority. Note: if the child is deferred or accelerated entry, they must apply via a paper form. If deferred entry, they should have contacted the Academy directly prior.
Monday 1st March 2027: National Offer Day
Tuesday 16th March 2027: Deadline for responding to offers
Friday 9th April 2027: North Somerset Council appeal deadline
Tuesday 20th April 2027: Deadline for Academy Registration Forms to be completed.
April and May 2027: Churchill Academy visits all prospective students in their current school
Tuesday 1st June 2027: In-year Transfers Open for 2027/28 academic year.

Tuesday 22nd June 2027: Induction Day at Churchill Academy
Wednesday 23rd June 2027: Drama Day at Churchill Academy
Wednesday 23rd June 2027: New Parents Evening (normally 6.30pm)
