Academy Sports Rundown: Friday 7th November 2025

As we returned for Term 2, the Academy girls took centre stage for sports with their football fixtures. Read how they got on below:

Year 7 & 8 girls take on Nailsea School in two games of football 

Our Year 7 girls' team has been making excellent progress in their football skills and playing fixtures against other schools for the first time. Their game against Nailsea School was a testament to their determination and effort, keeping the scores close until the final few minutes. It was an unfortunate defeat for our girls as the match ended 2-1 to Nailsea. 

Our Year 8 girls' team impressed us all in their game, taking an impressive 4-0 victory and showcasing their incredible skills. Well done girls! 

U14 girls crowned victorious against Somervale

It was a home game for our U14 girls' football team this week, with Somervale visiting the Academy for the match. The team was on fire for the entire match, scoring an incredible four goals and securing the victory with a 4-1 final score. 

The player of the match was awarded to Solene for her incredible skills. Well done!
