Calzones and Continental Tarts
This week, the Food Technology classrooms were full of energy as Year 9 and Year 10 students took on new cooking challenges. Year 9 students focused on making calzones, learning how to prepare dough, create flavourful fillings, and fold and seal their calzones correctly. The lesson helped students build confidence in their pizza-making skills while encouraging creativity with a variety of ingredients.
Meanwhile, Year 10 students stepped it up by making continental tarts. They practised precision skills such as pastry preparation and balancing flavours in both sweet and savoury fillings. The tarts showcased students’ growing technical ability and attention to presentation.
Both groups produced some incredibly delicious-looking dishes!
