Year 7 Students Learn Lifesaving Skills with Heart Starters
This week, Year 7 students participated in an exciting learning experience. They partnered with Heart Starters to acquire essential lifesaving skills. The training gave students the opportunity to learn and practice CPR, respond to emergency situations, and use vital equipment such as defibrillators.
The Heart Starters programme introduced students to the basic principles of CPR. Instructors guided them through the critical steps, emphasising the importance of acting quickly during emergencies. Students were also taught how to use a defibrillator, a device that can deliver a lifesaving act to someone suffering from cardiac arrest.
The training also focused on building confidence, so students would feel ready to step in and help during an emergency. Year 7 students walked away from the session equipped with practical knowledge that could one day help them save a life.
Well done Year 7!
