Academy Sports Rundown: 16th May 2025

We had a fantastic week in sports as we saw all of our year groups participate in various fixtures. Check out how they got on below: 

Years 7 to 10 Girls have a thundery afternoon of Rounders 

On Tuesday, 40 girls from across Years 7 to 10 went to Backwell School for the first rounders fixture of the season. Every team managed one inning before the game was suspended for a torrential thunderous downpour.  

We look forward to resuming the matches at the tournaments in Term 6! 

U15 Cricket Team through to the finals of the Somerset Cricket Tournament

Our Year 9 and 10 cricket students are through to the finals of the Somerset Cricket Tournament after winning their match 4/4. We have been so impressed with their skills throughout the season, and we can’t wait to see how they perform in the finals at the County Ground, Taunton.

Year 9 and 10 Girls show their Rounders skills against Kings of Wessex 

Students attended Kings of Wessex for a game of rounders, where they showcased an impressive 15-11.5 victory. The player of the match was awarded to Kloe for her impressive batting and fielding skills.
