Academy Sports Rundown: 23rd October 2025

This week we saw students take on Football, Rugby and Cross Country running, see how they got on below: 

U16 Rugby Take On The Somerset Cup 

Our U16 Rugby team continued their winning streak, remaining undefeated this season. Their latest game saw them face Gordano School, finishing with an away win, draw at 21 vs 21 for each team. Player of the Match was awarded to both Ewan (player voted) and Issac (coach voted) for their efforts.  Well done to the entire team! 

Mr Hayne and all of Team PE wish our Year 11’s good luck in their upcoming mock exams! 

U13 Football Smash Round 2 of the Somerset Cup

Our U13 Football squad took on Court Fields this week, putting all their efforts into the match, they brought home an INCREDIBLE 7-0 victory!  A massive congratulations to all of our players, we can’t wait to see what you achieve in round 3. 

Year 7 Students Cross Country Race 

This week, our Year 7 students took on a Cross Country running challenge, utilising the vast outdoor space that the Academy has to offer. Students ran two laps around the Academy fields, up hills, through trees, and finished with a sprint to the end.  It was fantastic to see the effort so many of our students put in, giving their all to get the best lap times possible. Well done to all our students!
