Sixth Form Students Dive into this week’s STP Sessions
As part of our Specialist Tutor Programme (STP), our sixth form students participated in a dynamic and engaging week, attending one of three sessions designed to broaden their knowledge, creativity, and understanding of the world around them.
The first session explored Criminal Restorative Justice, led by a guest speaker from Avon and Somerset Police. Students participated in an interactive workshop that brought real-world practices to life through a detailed case study, thereby encouraging thoughtful discussion and active participation.
Creativity took centre stage in the second session, which focused on Graphic Design and Rebranding. Students were challenged to completely reinvent Monster Energy drinks, transforming the well-known brand into a natural, health-focused product. This hands-on task pushed them to think outside the box and apply design thinking in a practical context.
To round off the week, students embraced the festive season with a Christmas-themed arts and crafts session. From handmade decorations to creative seasonal designs, the activity allowed them to unwind and express themselves artistically.
It was fantastic to see our students engage so enthusiastically with such a variety of topics. Their energy, curiosity, and creativity brought each session to life as we move closer to the end of Term 2.
