Art Meets English in Creative Display

Our English Department was delighted this week to unveil two impressive new additions to the display wall. Created by Year 9 students Zoe and Clemmie, the canvases showcase both artistic talent and a deep appreciation for English studies.

Working from a brief provided by Mr Grimmett, the students added their own creative flair to produce two striking pieces. One canvas beautifully captures the power and imagination of creative writing. At the same time, the other portrays the brooding brilliance of a figure widely recognised as one of the most influential names in English Literature.

The dedication, effort and time invested in these artworks are evident in every detail. Mr Grimmett and the English Department are incredibly proud of Zoe and Clemmie’s achievements and grateful for their contribution to the Academy.

It is hoped that these wonderful pieces will remain on display for many years to come, serving as a lasting reminder of the students’ creativity and talent long after they have graduated from Churchill.
