Academy Sports Rundown: 16th October 2026

Another fantastic week of sports for our teams, read how they got on below:

Year 7 Rugby Festival

Last Monday, our Year 7 Rugby Boys team had their first fixture of the year at the Clevedon School Rugby Festival. We took 2 teams and played a total of 11 games.

It was a very successful afternoon winning 8 of the games, with lots of students representing the academy for the first time!

Year 7 & 8 Girls Football’s Strong Afternoon

Our Year 7 & 8 Girls Football teams faced Priory this week having already played them here at the Academy 8-a-side.

The Year 7 team lost a closely contested 5-3 match, with a strong second half come back. Meanwhile, Year 8 dominated their game with a strong 5-1 victory!

We now move onto 9-a-side for our Year 7 team and 11-a-side for our Year 8 team, bigger pitches and even bigger goals!

Players of the Match were awarded to Nelly (Year 7) and Anna (Year 8). Well done!
