Back to the Future – A Fantastic Theatre Experience!

Our Year 12 and 13 Performing Arts students enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Bristol Hippodrome to see the technically spectacular Back to the Future: The Musical!

The evening began with a working production meeting at Pizza Express, where students had the opportunity to discuss plans for our upcoming performances while enjoying some delicious food.

We then headed to the Hippodrome for an incredible theatrical experience, packed with breathtaking special effects, innovative staging and outstanding performances. Students were particularly impressed by the technical brilliance of the production and the incredible way the iconic film was brought to life on stage.

To make the evening even more special, we had the opportunity to hear from Bob Gale, the original co-creator and writer of Back to the Future, who shared insights into the creation of this much-loved story.

This trip is just one of the many exciting visits, workshops and enrichment opportunities that form part of our brilliant Sixth Form Performing Arts course here at Churchill Academy & Sixth Form. We are passionate about giving students experiences that go beyond the classroom, allowing them to see professional theatre in action, develop their creativity and gain valuable insights into the performing arts industry.

A truly inspiring evening and another fantastic example of the opportunities available to our talented Performing Arts students at Churchill!
