Academy Sports Rundown: 23rd October 2026

The final week of term was a great one for our sports teams. Check out how they got on below:

Year 7 Boys First 12-a-side Rugby Game

On Tuesday afternoon the Year 7 Rugby team played their first 12 aside game against Priory School.  The Churchill boys started strong and scored 8 tries in the first half. The game was more balanced in the second half with Churchill holding onto their lead winning 9 tries to 3 tries.

It was great to see so many students getting involved with school rugby and we are looking forward to upcoming games and tournaments next term.

Cross Country Running: A Whole School Event

This week, Team PE turned our playing fields into a cross country course. Every year group took part throughout the week, with the course routes varying by difficulty for each year group.

Every student did a fantastic job running the course, and the timings will be used to offer places on an upcoming regional competition.  Well done!
