Curriculum to Careers Day

On Wednesday 10th January, our Year 9 students participated in the Curriculum to Careers Day, an event designed to assist them in making future career choices.

As they are soon approaching the time to select their subjects for continued study, we arranged a day filled with activities that clearly demonstrate how different curriculum subjects correlate to potential career paths. The students could take part in an array of engaging activities.

Options ranged from experiencing the role of a Food Scientist and understanding the fast-paced world of a Financial Trader, to exploring the life of a Rugby Referee and the intricacies of working within the health and social care sector.

This annual event helps students to consider career pathways that different subjects could lead to. We've had great feedback from students so far and the day kick-started the process of considering GCSE subject choices, with options evening next Thursday.

To further facilitate their decision-making process, we have scheduled an Options Evening on Thursday, 18th January.
