Mission Accomplished! GCHQ National Languages Competition November 6th – November 10th
Huge congratulations to 20 of our Year 9 and 10 French and Spanish students who took part in the National GCHQ Language Challenge, which is a national compeition designed to encourage language students to continue with their studies in a foreign language at KS4 and 5.
Our students had daily online access to a wide variety of challenges such as the one below which tested their abilities to the limit! We are very proud of them and thank you to the staff who gave up their break and lunch times all week to support this great initiative.
With more than 500 schools from across the country taking part, it was an incredible event to have students represent Churchill. Congratulations to team Graceful Calm Jaguar who ranked 22nd with 7940 points and team Wacky Glorious Cat who ranked in the top 200! Well done to all the students to entered the challenge, who will receive a certificate from their languages teachers
We are looking forward to the Christmas code-breaking activities being launched in early December.
