Newquay Surf Trip  8th-11th July (CANCELLED)

Newquay is the surfing capital of the UK and we are extremely excited to announce the return of our Newquay surf trip during Activities Week 2024.

Students will spend four days in Newquay learning how to surf or improve their skills with Quiksilver Surf school as well as the chance to enjoy other water sports such as coasteering, body-boarding and paddleboarding.

Students who want to attend this trip should be able to swim a minimum of 50m unaided but no surfing experience is required!

The trip will cost £575, which will cover accommodation, meals, equipment and tuition.

A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place. Payment should be made via ParentPay.

Rockfield Studios - Music Tech Residential  8th-9th July (FULLY BOOKED)

We are pleased to be able to offer a Music Tech residential during Activities Week to Rockfield Studios near Monmouth, the legendary studio where Bohemian Rhapsody was recorded! This trip is for students in Years 9-12 and studying or planning to study Music Technology.

The trip will be for two days, with an overnight stay and will include hands-on masterclasses from two of the studio’s in-house producers.

Students will be able to record and produce their own music and songs and come away with professional standard records they have made themselves.

The studio is residential and students will experience and enjoy the excellent hospitality the studio offers, knowing that many famous bands have stayed here in the past. These bands and artists, among many others, have all recorded some of their best work at this studio, including Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Oasis, Queen, Hawkwind, The Stone Roses, The Wonder Stuff, The Waterboys, Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, New Order, George Michael & Kasabian.

The trip will cost £330, which includes accommodation and catering.
