The winner of the Junior Young Musician of the Year 2023 is…

On Thursday evening, the final of the Junior Young Musician of the Year 2023 took place which provided an entertaining evening of music for all tastes, ranging from classic songs such as Johann Strauss’ The Blue Danube to Coldplay’s A Sky Full of Stars. The standard of performance was extremely high which challenged the judges with their decisions.

We are pleased to announce that our Junior Young Musician of the Year 2023 winner is Molly Blundell, who stunned the judges with a confident, expressive and engaging performance of Rieding’s Concertino in G on the violin.

The runner-up was Xavier Keirle, who delivered a captivating performance of Counting Stars by One Republic, singing and accompanying himself on the guitar.

Further congratulations must go to all Year 7 & 8 students who performed in the Junior Young Musician of the Year competition on Thursday evening.

The future is certainly bright and we are excited about what these performers will produce in the coming months and years.

Molly and Xavier will now perform in the Christmas Concerts at the end of November - tickets are now on sale, which you can buy from the Play House in Weston-Super-Mare.
