Double Somerset Rugby Champions
A huge congratulations to the Year 9 rugby team who played Backwell School in the Somerset Cup Final. The match was drawn at full time and neither side deserved to lose, so both walked away worthy joint winners.
The Year 11 rugby team have had an excellent run up to their final game, defeating Brymore Academy, Wellsway School, and Castle School Taunton to earn a place in the Somerset Cup Final against Holyrood Academy. One of the most rewarding parts of being part of the Churchill community has been in working with these individuals over the past five years. At every opportunity, they have been the epitome of our core values and have an exceptional level of camaraderie. A 36-0 victory was a fantastic way to finish their rugby journey with Churchill! A great team effort, strong tries, try saving tackles, determined as always. Congratulations to all!
Thank you also to all the parents that made the trip to Bridgwater & Albion RFC. It was fantastic to have such positive and encouraging support from the sidelines!
