Windsor House

Head of House's Introduction
Welcome to our Windsor House page!
Welcome to Windsor House – a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive community where every student is encouraged to thrive, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
I am incredibly proud to be the Head of Windsor House and am passionate about supporting young people in my role, along with my team of tutors. We are committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, respected, and inspired to succeed, both academically and personally. I firmly believe that students flourish when they feel happy, valued, and connected to their school community.
The vertical tutoring structure creates the distinctive Churchill community, allowing students of different ages to learn from one another, build lasting friendships, and develop a strong sense of belonging. Every Year 7 student is paired with a Year 10 or Year 11 buddy who provides guidance, reassurance, and practical support during their first year. This peer mentoring helps our newest students settle quickly, build confidence, and feel part of the Windsor family from day one.
In Windsor House, we are always looking for new ways to recognise, reward, and celebrate the diverse talents, achievements, and contributions of our students. Whether through academic success, sporting excellence, creativity, leadership, kindness, resilience, or service to others, we believe every student deserves to feel valued and appreciated for the positive difference they make to our community.
I look forward to building strong relationships with families throughout your child's time at Churchill School, working together to ensure your child has the support they need to thrive.
We look forward to welcoming you to Windsor House!

Song: ‘Sweet Caroline’ by Neil Diamond
Mascot: A Blue Smurf!
Student Leadership
A message from our House Captains Cecilia and Millie:
We’re really excited (and honestly quite proud) to be your Windsor House Captains. We see this as a huge honour, and we’re determined to make the most of it.
What we’re about…
We believe Windsor should be a house where everyone feels valued, included and proud to belong. For us, it’s about creating a positive environment where people feel confident to get involved, try new things and support each other. The values of kindness, curiosity and determination are at the centre of what we want to build, not just in lessons, but in the way we treat each other every day.
What we want to achieve as House Captains…
- We want to build a strong sense of team spirit within Windsor by encouraging as many students as possible to take part in competitions, events and fundraising.
- We want people to feel excited representing their house and proud of what they contribute.
- Looking after students’ mental health and wellbeing is something we take seriously. We want Windsor to be a place where people feel supported, listened to and comfortable being themselves. No one should feel overlooked.
- We’re also passionate about recognising everyone’s strengths. Whether it’s in academics, sports, creativity or something else, we want to make sure people feel seen and encouraged to achieve their goals.
- Alongside that, we’ll be there to support students through everyday school life and help wherever we can.
- Celebrating success is just as important to us, both inside school and in the wider community. Everyone deserves recognition for their efforts and achievements.
Our main priority is for everyone to have fun at school.
